abs and brake idiot lights

My abs and brake warning lights come on but not all the time. My speedo and cruise control works fine. When I restart the truck the lights stay out for a few miles or may be even stay out until I reach my destination. Does anyone have any suggestions? Should I replace the front sensors and is the left and right sensor interchangeable???

well if your speedo isn't jumping around could be a wheel sensor

1. Speedo comes from the sensor on the top of the rear pumpkin.

2. What your seeing is a failure of the ABS system in some way shape or fashion

See if you can find a SMARTY owner in your area and they can clear your abs codes to see if you really are tripping something.

The first indication I had of my front hubs going out was a ABS/Brake light as the tone wheel ground away the sensor.
