abs and brake light problem

i have a 99 ram 3500 that has a brake and abs light malfunction. it all started when i installed aftremarked rancho 9000 5 position shocks. now the abs and brake lights stay on all the time i sure could use some help. i have read all the other postings and if possible want to avoide the dealership , im sure that it will cost something to use the comp. link thanks jim

Did you knock a wire loose on the rear axle?

do you have RWAL or 4 wheel ABS?

i bet its a coincidence. Most likley ABS failure with either system is wheel speed sensor



post some more details on the brake system, my brake manuals may cover your model-- it will tell you how to get thet trouble code out of ABS computer, and a possible sollution to the problem

abs and brake light problem

thanks mike 2500 and obert. i found the problem in the fuse box compartment on the left side under the hood. i wiggled the fuses and then retried starting of the engine , and suprise suprise ,the problel was gone. thanks again jim
