Hi all! I've been lurking for quite a while and reading numerous posts from the 12 valve and second generation forums. I've recently acquired a mildly bombed 1997 ext. cab 4X4 from another TDR member. From the time I picked it up in Florida on Dec. 9th, the ABS and the Brake light have been constantly on. The P. O. informed me that his mechanic had replaced the ABS module, and that made the lights go out for a while, but they came back on. The brakes seem to require more pressure than they should... but I've not got a lot of experience with other CTD trucks to give it a fair comparison. He said the brakes were working properly, and it was the concensus of his mechanic and himself that there was a problem in the wiring between the firewall and the rear of the cab. Has anyone had a similar experience? What can I check? Thanks,

The Grinch:confused:

I had the same issue on my 98 4x4, Turned out to be the wheel speed sensor had been chewed off for unknown reasons. You should find more info, but usually the sensors are the problem.
