Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) ABS & Brake Light turn on while driving

About 2 months ago while driving my ABS and Brake Light in the dash turned on. They remained on until I turned off the truck. After restarting the lights were off. This repeated every so often for a couple of weeks. I was told that the wheel sensor was defective. I replaced it and the problem went away for about 2 weeks, but has returned. Any suggestions other than scheduling with a dealership to have codes checked? My superchips controller does not show any codes and the Snap-On computer doesn't have the ability to read the ABS codes. It doesn't effect the performance of the truck, just annoying.
