Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) ABS /brake light

Anybody have an idea why my ABS and brake light comes on when I put the truck in 4wd? when I take it out the light goes out..... Rick

Maybe it forgot it can't function in 4wd (at least the 4 wheel ABS)

Vacuum?

The center axle disconnect is controlled by vacuum.



If you have a vacuum leak, it will activate the ABS/brake lights.



Does your 4WD light come on? I would start by checking the hoses associated with the CAD.

The 4wd light does not come on, but it does go into 4wd.
