The ABS and break light will not go out on my 94 Ram 2wd std. cab. auto. My mechanic can’t get an error code from the break system computer. ABS sencers and antilock solenoids all check out OK. Any body have any ideas?

Check your vacuum lines. I had to unhook the little hose that runs in front of the master cylinder to do some work on my truck and forgot to re-attach it. I got the same thing you did ABS and brake light on. Yours might have a hole in it or something.

Hope this helps.

I think you jinxed me there Cliffman. #ad

I wired the trailer light connector on my new truck last night and guess what. My ABS and Brake lights were staying on this morning. It was the fuse that was blown. Check that too.

On the way home tonight I looked down at the dash lights and Lo and Behold ABS light is on, Brake light is on. Thank you all for this post.

My ABS and break light pulled the same stunt a month ago. It turned out to be the sensor in the rear end. . 10 minutes change.

To make a long story short, I checked the ABS fuse in the dash and it was good. A day later I found it necessary to check the stop light fuse. IT WAS BLOWN, replace with a new one and BINGO! the ABS and brake light indicater went out. Thank for info from the prior post.

I actually blew the stop lamp and turn signal fuse. I guess I need to trace the wiring that was in the truck when I got it.

My ABS and brake lights come on every time I hook up my trailer, till the vacuum builds up. (vacuum/hydraulic brakes on trialer) It also used to come on when I had a vacuum leak at the plug on top of the transfer case.

Problem solved to the tune of $800. 00 First mechanic couldn’t get a code readout from the break control module so I took it to DC and they charged me 3 hours (95 per hour) labor to trouble shoot and found that the break control module was bad #ad
. I told them that the other mechanic checked everything else that could possibly be wrong and that he thought it was the control module. My mechanic suggested that I take it to DC because they have the module and they could just plug it in to see if that's the problem #ad
Boy, Did I handle this wrong or what #ad
