Been checking around on the availability and price of the hub/bearing assembly w/ABS for my 99 and the dealers list them for $380, AutoZone for $379, and the other chains just kind of get a funny look on their face when their computer doesn't show any listing.

I was wondering if anyone has found a better source/price or is this just one those cases that makes old 2-cylinder JD parts look cheap?

Misery loves company in Cinci today... just pulled my hub off a minute ago and it is shot. KOI down in Newport has them for $303. Just got off the phone with them. What is the difference between the ABS and non-ABS hub for the front axle? I can't think of why this would be any different. The Autozone non-ABS hubs are $202 and KOI had them for $180.

The hub used for the ABS has an opening for the ABS wire/sensor to plug into. It appears there is also a tone-ring or similar trigger in the hub for the sensor to watch.

Thanks for the heads up to KOI. I checked with one of their branches around Sharonville this morning and they couldn't even find a listing for a 4x4 period. Was the $303 price retail or jobber rate? If you can find a vendor number laying around, the dealer will let their stuff go for about 25% off list.

Maybe a bulk discount if our luck keeps spreading around Cincy :D
