Hello

ABS and brake light on, it will come on after a while and light for a time. Sometimes it will not light at all while driving.

I think it can be relate to the extreme cold temp. we have here now???!!! 25-30 celsius below zero, 22 farenheit below.

Thanks Tommy SWEDEN

I had similar lights on in the dash as well. It was the rear wheel speed sensor, about 50. 00. I fixed it by replacing the rear wheel speed sensor located on top of the rear diff. It is held in by an o-ring seal and a couple of bolts. Stay warm out there.

rear sensor

my was doing the same thing, friend of mine with a power stroke had the same thing so we went to the ford dealer, the sensor looked the same as mine and was alot cheaper. now thats cold, it was 40 degs in south florida last night. thats pretty cold for down here. good luck

ABS

Don't worry, mine does the same thing. So far it's just the extreme cold temp -5 and colder.

At warmer temp, they never stay on.

Worst case scenario it's just the left Front ABS Sensor, for some reason, it is usually the culprit. But until my lights stay on all the time, even at warmer temps, I'm not going to worry about it.

As posted before, my 99 did the same thing, replaced the rear wheel speed sensor on top of the rear diff. Its easy to get at. You may have to use a small screwdriver to lift it out as it has an O ring on it. Good luck.
