Went through the car wash and then parked at a store. Left the store and had no speedo and both my lights are on. No loose wires or fuses, drives the same. 4wd w rear abs. Where does the speedo get its signal from? transmission, transfer case, or rear end? Thanks!

Exactly what it is. I think it's around 30-35 bucks at the dealer. Takes about 15 mins to change.

Speedometer should work over about 40mph though.

If you put silicone around sensor when you reinstall it you might get longer life from it. Usually mositure gets into it and shorts it out.
