Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) ABS light help

On my 2001 Dodge cummins, 4x4, 5spd, 2500 My brake lights stay on all the time and the abs and brake light on the dash come on. I pulled the wire from my edge comp box through the firewall to get more wire and I think that could be the problem but I don't know how to fix it. Does anybody know the problem and how to fix it?
