I noticed that when I come to a stop every so often my ABS light will flash on and off quickly. It is so fast it causes you to question if you really saw something. This has happened to me about 12 times in the last 1. 5 years. It took about six times before I finally figured out what instrument light was actually coming on. I have checked my brakes and tested them and they appear to be fine. I have put the ABS through its paces on a back country road and it worked fine. Maintained the fluid levels and check for codes. I am not sure what the problem may be. Has anyone else run into this before?

Mine was acting similar to yours except that my ABS light would not flash so quickly, it would go on and off when accelerating or hitting the brakes. After researching the problem and checking all the possibilities I found that the front ABS wheel sensor line had come loose and was rubbing/grounding out against the inner hub. By the time I got it fixed it had completely worn through and the light was on all the time.

You might want to check the ABS sensor on the rear axle also. I believe mine was on top of the rear differential. Do a search for "ABS sensor" and you should find all the info you need.

Good Luck

Bill
