Somtimes when I first hit the brakes after starting the truck they grab real hard like you just slammed the brakes on. I don't get any code untill it is really cold out in the winter (mn), I will get the abs brake light to come on. during this time I don't think the abs is working. It seems to brake ok then the light will go out and all is good. The warning light has never come on in the summer. any idea's thanks

My truck does the same thing if it has been raining. The rotors will flash rust, and the first time i hit the brakes, it grabs real hard, then all is well. Randy

There are two sensors on automatics, on back of Overdrive Housing drivers side is the one that mimics bad VP, etc, that is the speed sensor, Auto Zone sells it for $13. 00 with life time warranty. That throws no codes and always goes bad, replace fast as fluid leaks out. Takes three minutes. One on back Differential can make ABS throw codes and will effect running somewhat. Its right on top under a metal shield, The plug has a red lock that goes to one side, if you try to pull plug without releasing lock you will break the plug. That also is a magnet, it wheres right through plastic. That will throw ABS codes and others
