2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Ac blower sometimes inop. ...........................................................

Works most of the time. Some times will wait for 1 minut to 3 minuts to come on..Allways comes on cold when it does come of , so compresor was on. I have replaced blower relay. help. Bob

This is a 97 3500. Temps are in the 100s, and my wife just had her left knee replaced 2 mts ago. She is not to happy with this problem. I also ran out of fuel today. Only 58 miles after light came on. I thought it was soposted to have 10 gals remaing. At least i know how far it will go after the light gos on, i always wondered how far. Bob

Most likely the blower itself. I replaced mine at about 300,000. Sometimes kicking it helps. Seems like the replacement was about $60. from advance auto parts at that time. I assume there are brushes that wear out

The low fuel light is coupled to the same sender that feeds the gauge. They are not accurate, but in a perfect world IIRC they are supposed to come on with 7 gallons. I get blower motors from u-pull-it yards. About $10 and they are OEM. Quite a few years work, and the ones in 1500s are the same as diesel trucks. If you go to one snag the resistor block at the same time.

I found my problem, it quit and it had 12 volts and ground, hit it with my hand and it runs. Probably a worn brush. Like hangs up. Probably new moter time. BOB Aller
