Can't figure, with my ac set on max and fan on low running 45mph at 1600rpm the temp from the center vent reads 44. 2 degrees F, when stopped and at idle with the same settings the center vent reads 41 degrees F and the outside temp is 80 degrees? Any thoughts.

Temps that low (good) probably means the freon is a little less than recommended. At idle, the low side will drop a little, thus the lower temp. As the rpms go up, the compressor makes up for the low freon some what and the temps go up a little. Any lower temps, and the evap might freeze. Someone else can add here, But they used to say that when on max (recirc) you should run the fan higher. That keeps more air flowing over the evap to help prevent freeze up. Those are good temps though!
