AC Fin Sensor Relocation - WHERE???

While I am replacing broken HVAC unit doors/housing I would like to relocate the fin temperature sensor to the "new and improved" location.



Does anyone know where the sensor goes? I've heard that the Star memo says to move it so many rows up and over.



How many? What direction? HELP !!!!!!

The sensor goes into the 12th row and the christmas tree fastener goes into the 13th row from the left, and 50mm from the top. If you place the evaporator on the bench with the old location in the lower left, the new location is upper right (or just past center). When you remove the old sensor it was in rows 3 and 4 about 50mm from the bottom. The wire should be going out to your right. Use duct tape to tape the extra wire on the outside of the HVAC housing. loop the wire up from the connector attachment and back down and over to the hole in the housing. Don't tape over so far that you cover the PN sticker.

The factory location has the metal probe in the 3rd fin column and the christmas tree fastener in the 4th column, near the bottom left of the evaporator. It says to move the metal probe to 12th column and the fastener to the 13th. It should be 50mm from the top of the fins.
