With 3k miles my blower motor has been acting up. Sometimes all works well and sometimes nothing. I'm headed to Michigan next week and must have a reliable heater.

I don't know how it could be related but the problem didn't surface until after I installed the prodigy brake controller with the prodigy made Dodge wiring harness.

Thanks,

Carl

Just a thought, did you check the connectors on the back of the heater controls?, there are two plugs for the controls, could be a loose connection. To remove the center dash, just take out the screw by the trash hook and pull.

I had the same problem the day I picked up my truck from the dealer. Do you have tilt steering? Wires from the blower motor run in the column, and when the wheel is tilted up and down the wires from the blower motor get pinched, or cut, thus causing a short and the A/C and heater fan does not work. The dealer had to take off the cover around the steering column, splice in a 6" piece of wire, and I haven't had a problem since then. Dodge should re-route the wires to alleviate this problem.

I played with the tilt and sure enough the blower cut in and out. I removed the knee bolster and reran the wires. It appears the problem is solved.

Thanks for the help

Carl
