Bypass Oil Options

Shift sequence for 48RE ?

Okay simple deal or so I thought. I own a 2006 Dodge 2500 crewcab 5.9L cummins . Anyways after vacuuming my system to prepare it for a charge I noticed I was actually looking vacuum. Okay after some sniffing around with my little gas detector after I put in about a 1/4 of a can of 134a I found, the leak it's at the crimp just before the bung hole for the high pressure switch. Okay step 3 find a replacement hose. Mopar preferably. Trouble is In every picture I've seen on the various vendors website, it shows me what looks more like a HI side service port, and not threaded bung for where the pressure switch would go. IM at my witts end trying to find the correct hoses bothe high and low, so thT being said if anyone out there can point me in the right direction , a p/n any help is appreciated.

THANK you for your time

Have you removed the high pressure switch to see what it is screwed into? I know on some vehicles the pressure switches are screwed onto fittings with schrader valves in them, allowing the switch to be replaced with mimimal loss of refrigerant.

Thanks yalll for the fast response!!! Yes ive looked at rock auto and they all show the same thing ., if i didnt know sny bettet whenu zoom on on the picture u can see what looks like a service port. But no external threads for my hi pressure switch. To further complicate things its an odd setup where the high and lowside i believe share a common manifold ? Does that make sense? As in 2 aluminum ac lines hi and low im guessing are joined by a solid peice of aluminum and from there are bolted to the back of the compressor.. im not crazy..at Least according to the state of Texas .. ill.post pics if it will help yall in helping me..just say the word

Once again Thanks again gentlemen

Well 31 looks like it it has the pressure switch in the correct place but ,riddle me this, , its a suction and a discharge hose which all connects to a common manifold so if i buy 31. Which im hoping covers me for both the high and low side hose requirements?? Corect me if im wrong on that
Once again a million thank you!!!

doesn't that common manifold on a Dodge include the so called metering device? AKA the "orfice tube" or whatever Dodge calls it? The Rock is showing something like this , which looks like it has pressure portView attachment 141906

Grumpy, we are getting close. My only problem I see with that hose you pictured, is that service port with the black. cap and yes that is the tube where the orfice tube is built in and that line I belive goes to the evaporateor core . LET me throw another wrench in the works. My trucks low side is on the dryer/accumulator, so what's. The deal with that service port on that lo side?‽?

Probably differences between build years of trucks, I've seen vehicles before with three ports. I can only guess but maybe Ram moved the port from then dryer to the hose and now there is only the hose with the port available as it doesn't matter to have more ports then non.

And one more question, the hoses you had in your truck, the one that failed, was it a OEM factory MOPAR line or aftermarket?

OEM all the way.. not enough hours in a day to waste it installing junk b.s parts and I know I've got my use out of it bought it in. 20007 with 15k on it still humming right along at. 254k now ..

From everything I can check - the hose kit that was given to you above is the correct line for your vehicle.

By the way the orifice is in a different line, you can find it browsing in the rockauto.com link above.
