My ac has been acting up. I thought it was just becouse of air flow. But there seems to be more to it. I have good pressure Hi/low. It will work good making cold air. Pressures will be fine. Then with the compressor still running the pressures will sky. At the same time it will start to blow hot air. What is causing this. Where should I look?

A/C Problems

My 96 is doing the same thing if it sits an idles for a couple of moments it will blow hot air and soon as the truck starts to move it will slowly cool down. I had my freon checked it is full and never been low and i replaced both pressure switches and the fan clutch. The a/c condensor it spotless, i am looking for a solution also, any ideas would be very helpful.

Check your vacuum source, may be getting too low at idle and blend door opening allowing hot air from the heater core to enter causing pressures to go up? bg

I had a miata that would not get as cold as I would perfer so I installed ball valves in the hear hoses, that way I could stop the heat transfer in the car. The vent was cooler and so was the airconditioner. good luck Jim
