All,

Does anyone know if you can get to the AV vents by going down the tubing in the dash? I have a boroscope with a motorized head that can turn and move any direction.

What I am wondering is if I can get at the vents without having to pull the dash completely out of the truck? Only asking to see if someone has done this before or has pulled the dash and can confirm.

Not really, there have been kits out there that one could cut access holes into the ductwork but I didn't liked them.

By the way it isn't soo bad to take out the Dash, watch some YouTube video for it.
It comes out as a whole unit, no need to disassemble it to the bone like in the old days.

Thanks Ozy, I've watched a few videos some looked worse than others. I think i'll just pull the dash in the afternoon Friday and then assemble it Saturday morning since I dont drive the truck on the weekends.

Yeah, I think that's the cleanest way to go.
You might consider to swap out ac-evaporator and heater radiator at the same time. They are not that expensive after all.

Do you have the workshop manual, for me that was the easiest step by step guide to take out the dash.
At the factory the install of it is done in just a couple of minutes.

Just know that it doesn't have to come all the way out. You can roll it back and lay it against the front seat and that should give you room to get the HVAC box out.
