Hey guys, just noticed something screwy last night when I was bored heading home... If I stomp on the throttle too fast I get a little blip, then the engine slowly accelerates to the point where I'm holding the throttle. If that makes any sense... I confirmed it by sticking the transmission in neutral and stomping the throttle about half way down very quickly and the engine will rev up a little, then proceed to slowly wind up to where I'm holding the peddle (around 2K RPM). If I don't hammer it quite as fast, everything is fine. I'm just curious if anybody else has noticed this? Or if it's an issue with my comp box or what.

Thanks in advance for any help / suggestions... probably will be unhooking the comp this weekend and test.

Also, anyone know of any TDR members around the Boise Area? Just curious if I'm the only diesel dork in town :D

disconnect the box!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Isolate and eliminate !!!!!!!!!

That is the only way you will be able to determin if it is the box or the ECM, VP-44, TPS or ... ...

Thanks for the reply shooter, actually that's exactly what I'm going to do this weekend... just for fun I turned the comp off last night and did the same tests. Seems to be fine with the comp turned off, I guess I'll call to see if they've ever heard of a problem like this. Ofcourse the throttle reponse is nowhere near what it is with the comp plugged in...

I guess I was just wondering if anyone else might have heard of this. . no biggy. Gives me something to do this weekend :)
