accelerator pedal position sensor

Where is the accelerator pedal position sensor located?



I have a 2006 3500 4x4 with the 5. 9 and believe that the problems I am having might be caused by corroded contacts in my sensor.

Any help would be appreciated!

your accelerator pedal position sensor is located on your accelerator pedal. it is on top or the pedal. it is inside of the truck and there should'nt have any corrosion on the contacts. i have over 100 thousand miles on mine with no problems. hope this was helpful

Thanks! Talked to Jim Anderson & he thought that it might be my problem but hadn't got back tome on its location. When I kick out my cruise at 65-70 I was getting an engine "flutter" but then it started happening all the time but has now gone away but I am not towing now.
Had collected a fair amount of mud going through construction sites on way to Myrtle Beach from upstate NY and have now cleaned off all ABS sensors.
Oh! Forgot, my ABS and Emergency brake light indicators would come on at same time.
Thanks again for location of sensor I might as well clean contacts on it.
