Does anyone have a picture of the springs (if there are supposed to be more than one) on the lever mechanism of the P7100 injection pump. These are the typical springs with loops on each end that provide tension to the accelerator pedal. I just bought a '97 and had to replace the throttle cable. The pedal is much firmer / stiffer than my 95 was, and I noticed it looks like there is an extra spring on the pump.

There were several versions used between 94 and 98 on the P pumps. Also sticks and autos were different as well. What's your ESN? If you don't like to deal with the boys at CWC Surrey I can find it out for you, but I will be away for the long weekend. Shadrach

Thanks guys for the help. I think what happened was that the previous owner replaced the springs with stiffer ones. I have now an OEM spring on there with the plastic end, and the coil spring on the pump lever. I took off the other two springs that I believe were jerry-rigged on there and the pedal feels like it should.
