Competition Different fuel system for 12v?

The way it works. Many dragracers (faster cars with wet sumps) have issues with oil moving away from the pick up tube on shutdown I. E. when chutes open or very hard braking. You would think the good oil pans would prevent this but fraid not. When there is a pressure drop a hobbs switch is triggered and the acumulater is opened and the reserve oil inside is under pressure and is released into one of the main oil galleys.

You can also use it as a prelube befor you start the engine by opening it with a selinoid or a manual valve. Then once the engine is started the presure is built up once you close the valve or shut off the selinoid and on the other end is a one way check valve so it cant drain back.

Oh and dont forget the smaller unit that feeds the turbo and helps aid cool down after a run or pull.

Thats the best I can do hope it helps.

Ok children thats enough. I just wanted to get some input from other members that may have used this product. Thanks to both of you guys for pointing out the Amsoil unit. Even though I dont see less than a cup of oil (5. 4oz) helping much.

I was hoping to hear somthing from someone who may use one.

is that too much that one could have an overfill before it gets refilled? I know a lot of guys run 3 gallons of oil which is 1 qt over on mine, so 1 qt over that should not cause damage?

Just thinking of spending some tax refund on the old girl.

If you are looking to upgrade your oil system, I would say it is money better spent on a bypass filtration system rather than a pre-oiler. Or get both, but spending the $ on a pre-oiler and not having a bypass filtration system seems backwards to me somehow. And I agree, more capacity in a pre-oiler would be nice, at least 1. 5 quarts for an engine like our CTD. So even though I'm an AMSOIL dealer, I'm saying that I feel the AMSOIL pre-oiler product is not big enough for our engines, and therefore not worth the expense. If that's not honest advice, I don't know what is. I posted this before and the admins erased it, and I don't know why.
