Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) acetone on myth busters

I was going to try some aetone in my truck, then someone told me that myth busters tried it and the results... myth. I did not see the program, but i guess acetone is just anther hoax

I tried it and didn't see any benefit. Myth? Who knows. But not measurable improvement to justify the hassle and cost.

it made the mileage go down a hair on the old carb'd v8 they were running on a roller dyno, anybody else notice them say it's fine to just fill your diesel with filtered wvo? that outta get a few e-mails on their site
