55k on odometer and "active air box service required, see dealer" on info display. Anyone familiar with this, what's required? Just changed the clutch at 47k, don't want this to become a money pit.

Nothing, maybe the flap is stuck or the actuator is to slow.
Aside from changing the airfilter there is nothing to be serviced on that unit.
What did you do with the truck that you lost the clutch at just 47k - normally that's barely broken in at that milage.

I know. The clutch from day one had a slight catch when shifting if you shifted too fast. I thought it was due to the dual mass flywheel. Going up a mild hill I went to pass another truck, down shifted into 3rd, and the engine went faster, but not the truck. I have a class A commercial license and have driven clutches all my life, so I do know how. This is the first clutch I have ever had to replace. Of course, the dealer was no help. Thanks for the info, I'll inspect the air box tomorrow. Also, no codes stored.

Yeah, sounds like bad from day1, that happens.
How do you read codes, AlfaOBD or just a generic scanner?
Because there must be a code otherwise the EVIC wouldn't send you to the dealer.

After dealing with critters in the air box and $800 damage to wiring harnesses... the Active Mouse Trap made my day!

Got lucky, must have got the mouse before it made a nest out of my engine harness. Been in the automotive service trade for 40 years, and rodents can do an amazing amount of damage. Had a customer tow his vehicle in with a check engine light and engine misfire. He thought it would be warranty on a vehicle only 4 months old. Rodent chewed up engine harness to the tune of $17,000. His insurance covered it. 2 weeks later, same vehicle, same problem only the rodent chewed into the interior and the bill was$26,000. Insurance stepped up again, happy customer, unhappy insurance company.

I guess I got lucky. In 06 I was in Iraq and had a 04 dully. My wife from time to time would go out to the garage and start it. Shortly after I got home I took the value cover off to have my paint buddy paint it the same color as the vehicle. I found a mouse nest under it. Nothing was harmed though... It was a Air Guard tour of 120 days boots on the ground. Jan-Apr.
