add a 454 the the book of the unspected

today a 454 chevy duelly tried to out run
my 1st gen,
i was going about 40 and a lowered red
new 4 door duelly chevy and A 2x4 at that
( iam 4x4 duelly ext cab) was aside me
i was in 5 th already so i floored it!
i looked out my side mirror and the chevy was 1 lenght behind at well say over 65
i guess he thought since he was in the fast
lane he would go faster, well the 5. 9
i gen showed him. i slowed up in slow lane
soon he passed and didnt even look at me.
ON MORE THING IAM IN MY WINTER MODE.
1000 POUNDS EXTRA IN BACK AND REAR TIRES
AIRED DOWN TO 10 PSI EACH AND I STILL
SHOWED HIM MY MUD FLAPS IN A HURRY.

IAM GUESSING ITS WAS A 454, NOT 350'S
IN THOSE AND DONT THINK IT WAS A DURA-
TRASH. BILL

What a coincidence Bill, I had 3 runs with a
Suburban 454 today. There's this kid at work always going on about how bad@ss his 454 Suburban is. Well today he had 3 chances to show me. Driving home from work, I met up with him at a stoplight,lucky him! I looked over and waved at him, he started reving... the light turned, even thru the light, I short shifted 3rd and dropped the hammer in 4th(you know if you keep your foot in it a little when the clutch goes in to shift, I notice you keep some boost between shifts)at 60mph he was about 15ft behind me... red light, I stopped, he began revving again, I lit up a cigarette, he took off I finished lighting my smoke, and caught him...
red light, I'm looking over at him waving and smiling, he won't look at me... the light turns green I get a real good jump on him and don't take my foot out of it for say, 200ft. he takes a right turn off on a residential side street... smokey bliss #ad

now its got me wonderin if the kid was just BSing about the 454 and its just a 350 w/o a muffler.
Can't wait to get my ole blue special/prince of darkness #ad

great,
but dont mess w/ early 454's i had a
74 3/4 ton w/ mod 454 mild and it was real fast and pulled good, also had a 78 surb
w/. 454 federal no smog factory duells

and w/ 4. 11 2x4 it smoked tires all thru 1st
its those later pesky one's that need
to be educated on how well a 5. 9 runs
ide love to know what they r thinking

ones that lost and now have a dodge diesel
