Can anyone recommend a good add-a-leaf kit (and good vendor) for our trucks? Any good/bad experiences with add-a-leafs also appreciated.

Thanks.

Kore sells a mini pack that replaces the extra thick lower booster leaf with a progressive multi leaf pack. It gave a bit under 2" of lift on my truck and improved the ride quite a bit, loaded and empty, it only settles 2" with 2000 lbs pin weight on the goosneck hitch.

I would just go to a truck spring shop and have more leaves added to your spring stack. I hate to say this, but they have all the right tools, and what ever it costs will be worth more than your trouble. Been there, done that. Next time, I will let someone else do that.

I'd also reccomend KORE. After using add-a-leaves in the past from most of the manufacturers (rancho, fabtech, rough country, JCwhitney, etc), they are all about the same. The roughest riding of all the setups had to be the rough Country set, and the Fabtechs seemed to have the most effort put into them (teflon pads, taper cut, etc). If your set on an add-a-leave and not the KORE mini pak, I'd reccomend Fabtech.

Also, a spring shop is a good place. Our local spring shop (McBride) is usually just as cheap as an aftermarket set up, and sometimes fit better. Get as long of a leaf as you can, and put it under the main leaf for best results.

I, too, would recommend the KORE mini pak. I installed the RACE system a while back and originally did it without adding the mini pak, thinking that the weight of my camper (1100 pounds) might be too much for it. Let me just say, boy was I wrong! I later installed the mini pack, loaded the camper and added several hundred more pounds of water and fuel and headed straight for Baja. The mini pak works great loaded or unloaded. When loaded, we are pushing well over 9000 pounds and it rides great!
