Is it safe to add like KLOTZ BENOL?

Adding a little 2-cycle shouldn't hurt but I doubt it works as well lubricating the fuel system and keeping it clean as well as a diesel additive designed for diesel, such as Howes, Lucas, Stanadyne, Amalgamated, etc.
