well, the EPA is at it again. They are talking about changing the fuel here in colorado... . errggg  (the wife works for an oil company, so we get some pretty good insight as to what is going on).

When and if the EPA regulates that fuel here again, would it hurt anything to add some cetane boost to the Amalgamated additive? or am I better of calling them and seeing if they can add some more at the factory?

Thanks

I do it all the time. I add about 5-6 oz of Amsoil Cetane boost to 11 oz of Amalgamated for a 35 gal fill. It works great!

I think the EPA is going to reduce Sulfur content in '07?. I don't think the fuel cetane rating will drop.

Bill,

Thanks for the reply. What is happening is this. Due to Colorado having a pretty bad emmision/smog problem. The EPA is changing the volatility rate of fuel and they say that it will be in affect by summer time. So without having details, I am not sure how this will affect diesel fuel. I figure it is better to be safe and prepared then sorry...

Thanks
