I'm having a coolant leak on 06 manual trans. The leak is dripping from the center of the cross member directly onder the transmission. It is very small drip but wondering where it is coming from? Can't find it from top or under truck. Also I read in TDR that the correct antifreeze is ZEREX G-05. (HOAT) I did finally find it at NAPA. I bought it, but it is not Red in color. It is a clear yellow color. I guess this is OK? It says for Dodge. Thanks for any advice.

There is a coolant line under the exhaust manifold with a short 3" hose that tends to leak, sometimes just tightening the hose clamps cures the drip. You can also use a mirror and flashlight to look at the back of the block, right beneath the head, close to the firewall, there is a 2" softplug that is also prone to leaking, sometimes blowing all the way out.

Here's a picture of what the leak/hose looks like. I had the same problem. Just tighten the hose clamps. This seems to be a cold weather related issue on mine.

Andres added some helpful info on a previous post "Small Coolant Hose Leak"

"Cummins has a "fix" for it, a new hose and clamps

Hose #4939438

2 - clamps #4930327

Grand total about $7. 92 for the 3 parts. "

Thanks for information. I found it and tightened the upper clamp. It was only leaking from the top. I'll see if that stops the leak.
