Adding intercooler to early first gen

Anybody added a intercooler to their early first gen Ram? I have a 1990 automatic and a stock 1991 intercooler and was wondering if anyone has done this without replacing the whole front end.

I have an 89 d250 with a 5 speed. i put a banks power pack with their intercooler on my truck. I did not like their grille so I told them to deduct the price and remove it from my kit. I cut the back out of the stock grille and then repainted it( mine was a gray plastic) then I went and bought a piece of expanded metal, painted it black and fastened it just behind the grille. I think this looks great. Only a couple of people in the last year and a half since I have had it noticed that the grille had been modified. They said it is different but they could not tell what it was without going to look at a stock one. Let me know if you need more info pictures etc.
