Adding on to Factory Alarm

Anyone added on to their factory alarm? Just added a transfer flow tool/tank combo and was hoping to tie the tool box lid into the same circuit as doors so if it was opened the alarm would go off. Ran some extra wires while wiring in the tank and wanted to add a contact switch and a light to the toolbox.
or....does anyone know the wire color of the door switch? If not I’ll grab my meter and do the trial and error method, hopefully no errors just several try’s

Find a copy of the old style amp steps it calls out the color and location of the door ajar ckts

thanks Bob4x4. Appreciate it, however the install for the 2014 uses the oBd port for the interface hence no color code.

Amp power steps. Bob’s telling you to find the installation pdf for your year of Truck. That PDF will call out the wire colors you are looking for for the door ajar circuit. Door ajar circuit is what signals the steps to deploy or retract.
