Adding radio controls to your steering wheel

Recently, someone added cruise control to his truck by adding just the switches to his steering wheel; $35. 00, I believe. What a deal! I've been thinking, could we add radio controls to the back of our steering wheels just as easily? Same concept, just 2 switches. My guess would be yes. Anyone else attempt this yet?

I understand from reading posts here, that you need the upgraded CD changer and audio system to make those controls interface... . That the standard CD player in the SLT won't function with them... .
