Well I got the answer to the question I was asking. With all that I have on my truck, will the smarty do me any good? I have gotten replies from "Not much" to "You wouldn't have believed it could be so good".

I drug my feet on the Catcher ECM mod until finally that was no longer available and then I watched and waited again. until a friend of mine at the shop got a Smarty and we tried it on my truck. I was on the phone 30 minutes latter. If anyone is curious about how these work with a Comp Drag, I'll tell you that for me it has the pucker factor that I wasn't expecting.

I know that this isn't a "real" measure of HP increase but I tried a little smoke show on a side street and I left an 80 Foot Posi S that left a Black(fuel) and White (tire) cloud that I could not believe my truck made. I know this sound like a Hustler Forum story but its true. Really good product. :)

Smarty Fan

I had a Smarty program #9 downloaded in my truck today and the difference in drivability was night and day! It was like changing an extremely dirty air cleaner(DD2's&Edge EZ) for a super free flowing one(Smarty). The power comes on immediately and just keeps going. Great top end! The closest thing I can compare it to is dropping a high performance big block into an empty truck, really impressive. Congrats Marco!

I am almost ashamed to say, I keep my Smarty on #9, with a Catcher, Comp Edge and TST Comp. Other stuff is turned of due to launching problems!

My Comp is stacked through my TST comp which I keep on <0> unless I am going above 2000 RPMS, Comp is on 5. I can't floor the truck off the line without killing myself!

No problem with timing issues at all. Have more fuel than I need but Metanol helps a bunch!

I had some reservations about the Smarty or Catcher. I too had a budy that came by and let me try it out for a day or so. I could not belive how much of a difference it made. I orderd one a few days later too.

Is it just me or is the Smarty on #8 plus a Comp on 5x5 insane?? I was and still am actually a bit scared to run it, it made the truck actually feel unstable it was moving so fast.

Looking foreward to see how it does on the track with the new setup... (and the new sticks I have coming. )

where are the horsepower numbers for the smarty ? i have a 2004. 5 325/600 and interesed in the new smarty but nned more info on it. i can only afford one so which should i buy ? tst or smarty ? email me at -- email address removed --

I think horsepower numbers have been similiar to an EZ,but having experienced one downloaded in my truck yesterday I can attest to the overall driveability in all throttle positions. It takes off immediately(without any throttle oversensitivity some have posted) and just keeps going with no de-fueling as is the case with my EZ. Much more top end than before in my particular application. The additional benefit is the fuel saver setting when you're not towing and travelling long distances. Nice setup. I saving my cans and bottles as we speak. 3rds should be coming out soon.

Howstha... . What? Could you expand on that? Whats going on there? Does the TST cancile out the timing on the Edge Comp? AND add more fuel?

I am not too familiar with TST's products. BTW Monkeyman, You don't have a truck profile to look at.

We have just tested a Smarty on our 1999 Dodge. It has a Silver Bullet on it which has been working very well on 2nd gen trucks. This combo is nothing but unbelievably cool. The Smarty spools the turbo like a 3rd gen truck spools a Super Phat Shaft 62/80. (Very Fast) The whole disposition of the truck is different. We are getting ready for May Madness and this is a VERY good addition. I do think the NADP trans. is a very good addition also. The little puff of smoke that is normal for 2nd gen trucks is gone with the Smarty. Bob tell Marco this thing is Red Hot! Thanks, Brady

OK, you guys have got me wanting a Smarty now. I can probably afford it and the 4" exhaust now if I wanted to.

Question is: If I get the Smarty (and 4" exhaust) now, how long will it be before my HX35 melts? Or should I do something like an HTB2 and ATS manifold before the Smarty? Don't have enough funds for a new turbo right now. :(
