FYI - I've been running Stanadyne Performance Formula since new and yesterday tried Lubrication Engineers 2400 DCI Plus. BIG difference noticed this morning at cold start. The Cummins sounds much quieter and runs much smoother when cold using the LE product.

Dane, I second that. Noticed similar results with the LE, possibly slightly better mileage as well. Seems resonably priced as too. I also like the peice of mind that the added lubricity provides my pump.

Try Diesel Injection Service in Lubock, TX. They have a web site where you can order on line and delivery UPS in 3 or 4 days

Just went it the LE site and looked up 2400 DCI Plus. Nowhere did it mention lubricity. Am I missing something??? I've been useing Stanadyne Performance Formula or Power Service. I'd like to try LE but not if there is no added lubricity.

Do a search on Fuel Additives under the Product/Accessories Forum. Oil Man has an excellant posting there on the various additives. There are numerous threads to explore to learn alot about additives.

I've been using the LE this summer and really like it. Less smoke, better mileage and instant starts. I just looked at the bottle - it doesn't say anything about lube, but i'm pretty sure it's in there. Instead of cetane booster,it has a catalyst to improve combustion. The way it smells,it better do something! Craig

Yes, Yes, Yes The LE 2400 DCI+ does have lubricity additives. Right on the flyer at the bottom left it says "Improves the lubricity of diesel fuel as shown by SFV testing. " I'm sorry that the LE web page does not give out much info. I have talked to them and asked for more info added and am getting some things added with others being looked at. I have talked with some of the tech guys and have learned that they put 3 lubricants in the 2400 DCI+.

Sincerely, Kevin

Oil Man - is this the additive you prefer? Do you use it?
