It's been a great ride, but my creaking old feet just cannot handle that clutch any more. And since I got out of the travel trailer business, I can't justify getting another mighty Cummins. Last week, I brought home a 2020 Ram 1500 Big Horn with the 5.7 Hemi.

I put a combined 530,000 miles on a '94 (the first kid on the block with that radical new body) and an '04. I've enjoyed rowing through the gears and basking in that aroma, but all good things must come to an end. I guess if I get a hankering for diesel smoke, I'll go fire up the Kubota.

Since I do all my own maintenance, this forum has been worth its weight in gold. If there is an online forum out there for half-ton drivers that even attempts to hold a candle to TDR, can I get a recommendation?

Y'all take care and keep it between the ditches.

I bought my wife a 2019 Ram Laramie Longhorn and she loves it. It has crazy power, runs great on regular gas, and also love the quiet. We've been going on 2 to 4 hour drives in it on Sundays and just really comfortable. I'm sure you'll like yours.

Take care and good luck,

Ron

Well, here is one link that would equal much more than a smoldering wick, definitely above a full burning candle, maybe closer to a search light. No comparison to the bright star of TDR; but it is fairly informative containing a touch of "space cadet" information to filter through.

5thGenRams is ok... they have their characters too, not bad info available. Just like here, take it for what its worth. Big thing the last I was on there was folks installing performance exhaust systems and complaining about the noise. Factory system sounds great to me...nice tone, good balance between performance and sound.

Cheers, Ron

Ahhh Danny I hardly knew ya, but I understand. I’m still able to have my hand shaker, and will for as long as I can. Thanks for representing us well, you've laid down some numbers!
personally I think the TDR should adopt these trucks and give them some space here, since it’s inevitable that we will diversify.
I also have a 5.7, see my sig, and I can tell you off the bat to use the right MS spec engine oil. There’s only a couple out there.
Good luck and long may she run.
