adjust wastegate on a Pdr HX40

Hello-

I recently installed a Pdr Hx40 with the 16cm housing and I wanted to know how to adjust the wastegate. Currently I can see over 44 lbs of boost and want to reduce that slightly. I guess I'm just alittle worried about going over the 38 lb max that came with the instructions.

Piers told me that if you have the waste gate elbow in the boost line to your waste gate, you can turn the little allen head screw in the elbow and adjust the pressure so the waste gate opens sooner.

John is the turbo as it came from Piers, meaning no modifications? If so you will have to make the waste gate actuator a little longer to take away some of the preload. If you want to talk about it some send me a PM I am in your area.

Yeah, as BPINE said. Usually Piers locks down the actuator arm at a preset position so it won't normally overboost (about 40 lbs). I assumed yours was that way when I posted my reply above. Piers said sometimes, even when he locks them down, they will over boost a little and adjusting the elbow is a way to deal with it.

Thanks for the replies. . I called Pdr and they told me to adjust the wastegate rod length. 1 full turn = 2lbs of boost.
