adjust wastegate?

I moved the plate forward on my 96 215 horse motor. I would now like to increase the boost by about 5 pounds. Can I adjust the wastegate? If so do I shorten or lengthen the rod. Thanks for the input.

Yes. Shorten it. After I put in my 370's, my EGT was up to 1100 post turbo, so I shortened it all it would go, which was about 1/4".

Went from 28 psi to 37!! I'm now under 900!!

If it's anything like mine was, you'll have to remove it to get it to turn. PITA.
