Anybody do this? I have 4 1000# airbags I am going to use to "adjust" ride height by applying them to the overload springs on my 04 3500 SRW. They will attach just short of the end of the spring so bag system failure will allow the springs to settle on the overload stops if necessary. Otherwise, just tired of putting spacers on spring ends for loads (which vary). This should allow me the best of both worlds, adjustable ride-height and maintaining real suspension, especially for backroad running with camper etc. If anyone has something like this, chime in! If I am to understand you correctly, you want to put them on the ends of the overloads that are on top of the spring stack. If you do this, you will not be able to keep the air bag properly align top to bottom. As you compress the overload spring, the end will move away from the center, causing the bottom of the bag to come out of alignment with the top. The bags are designed to operate in a straight line top to bottom. If the top and bottom come out of alignment, the bag will want to roll out and rupture. It will also cause premature wear in a concentrated area of the bag, because the load is not evenly distributed on the bag perches.

The bags are mounted about six inches back from the ends of the overloads and will operate in a straight line. Thanks for thinking on this. I may be breaking some ground here... or breaking something anyway. George
