adjustable pedal Ques. ???

I have the adjustable pedals on my 03, shifting my 6-speed has always been fairly smooth, a week or two ago I put in Redline MTL and noticed it was smoother. A few days later I noticed that going from 2-3 I was having to wait for a second or two before it would go into gear smoothly. Other wise it felt "clunky" not a "grinding" it just did not want to go into gear easily like before. From 5-3 or 4-3 no problem nice and smooth. Today I noticed that the Adjustable pedals were up about and inch or a little more, I put them back down all the way, and no problem now. It is back to shifting smoothly.



Has anyone else had this problem?



How do I explain to the Boss that when she drives she will have to drive it like a truck not like a sports car. If she has to put up with a clunky transmission I'm in trouble.

I noticed the same thing with mine. If I change the power seat settings and or the power peddles. The shifting is a bit rough in spots until I get used to the new position. It all a matter of erganomics. In otherwards getting the seat and peddles in the ideal postion for your body proportions so you may operate the clutch and gearshift to the best advantage.

There is nothing mechanically wrong with the truck, it's the human factor. Pete

Found another use for the adjustable pedals, setting a high idle with a stick to the seat. Adjust the pedals to set the idle (will be gud for those winter "naps") and dont have to worry about idling at a low rpm.

Ben, I could be wrong but I think you have a high idle built into the truck already. I know Rods truck does it. Perhaps not high enough though... I think it ramps up to 1100 rpm.

True, but if you want to take a snooze and dont like the up/down increase noise this is just another way. And you could use the power seat if you dont have the adj pedals.
