So I installed the adrenaline yesterday and the first thing I noticed is the egt gauge on the adr is way more responsive than the autometer and that it reads a lot different than the autometer. At idle its about 50-100 different and on the top end the adr was reading 1500 and the automer was reading 1150. Also what the deal with the turbo timer? I down loaded the 2025 tune and its suppose to run for 3 min after shut off, are you suppose to step on the brake or gas to get to work? Cause its not working on my truck. Does the truck have to be running for a certain amount of time? or every time you start the truck it will run for 3 min after shut off. So other than that this box is awsome!!! But whats the most aggresive tune? The 3000 or the comp? It feels like the 3000 tune comes on stronger and sooner. Also I bought a used kit and it didn't come with the fluid temp sender, does anyone know of a part number or aplication I could use to get one?
 
I am having the same problem with my Pulse reading a lot different then my previous Di-Pricol guages. I'm not quite sure what to believe. :(
 
This had been talked about before and not sure where right now. Example of the discussion was boost. It is believe for example boost is corrected for altitude and temperature and the point where the boost is measured. Since our other gauges are not compensated by other inputs they read differently. I certainly don't know this as fact but it was the bases of the discussion. My Z-series Autometer gauges also read different than the Pulse readings.
 
I live right on the ocean, but a 4-500 degree difference? I haven't towed anything yet but I was worried that the adr would would read way higher and start defueling earlier than it should.

Well my discussion was concerning boost. As to EGT I guess the question which one is right!!!. Are you using 2 different probes at different location in the exhaust manifold? It would not be unusual for 2 different probes to register different temps but 4-500 degrees seems like a lot. Connections to the probes can cause differences as well. I'm sure all is aware 2 probes and different locations in the exhaust manifold can cause large differences. If we knew for sure which is right we could increase the Temp you want to keep below. Example if we wanted to keep below 1300 degrees set it to 1800 as and example. Only way I know of to verify which is right would be to put the probe in a verifiable oven and read temp. I suppose if you had a certified thermometer you could figure out a way to use a toaster oven or some such thing. Maybe somebody can chime in with a much more professional way to verify the accuracy as I am just sort of throwing ideals out there with no specific knowledge how to do this.



I just replace my Autometer temp. probe with the one from Quad and never compared!!!
 
As for comparing EGT differences, my Di-pricol guage use to read 650* at 70mph. I replaced those guages with Pulse using the same prior location and now it reads 850+* at 70mph.



Which one is right? I guess that is the million dollar question.
