Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Problems with CFM Manifolds

So I finally got an Adrenaline yay! Except for a few minor details. First got the box on Tuesday. A friend and me put it on on Wednsday after work. Everything was fine until I hooked the Red W/ white tracer up to the #9 fuse. The circuit had power immediatly. Start engine up nothing. The pulse was dead. Tried to shut engine off and it won't quit. Tap brake accelerator nothing. finally had to pull the #9 fuse to kill the engine. It was getting dark and late so I just unhooked that wire and drove it home. Thursday I didn't get a chance to look at it.

Friday rolls around and so I download a few tunes to try and get stuff working. I upload 1018 into the box. Didn't start it but the engine circuit had power as soon as I hooked the fuse tap to it. So I tried 1000B same thing. Went back to the 1018 for a bit and then I tried to start the truck. It won't start.

About this time I figured out what was wrong with the pulse. When I took it apart to fish it through the firewall I didn't make sure the pins were all the way seated when I put it back together. So now it works at least.

Took the Adrenaline off the truck and it still won't start. Disconnected the batteries for about 30 min and the reconnected them. no change. It's throwing a 1475 code. Called Quad and they want me to tow it into the dealership and send the box back to them to check it.

About the only thing I can think of is to let it sit overnight without the batteries and hope it helps? Anybody else have any ideas?

1475 is aux 5 volt supply too high. something may have shorted during the install process. unhooking the battery wont work in these trucks but most local dealers/parts shops will/can clear codes. Quad will fix the box (if needed) but the short is in the truck and must be fixed.

The 5Vdc is usually supplied from the ECM. If your box blew a capacitor in the ECM you may need a little more help than "take it to a dealer".

Do you have access to another ECM for testing w/o the box?

Unfortunetly not. I don't know anybody around here with the same type of truck as me well enough for them to actually let me have their ECM. One of the downfalls of having antisocial tendencies I suppose. Had my sister help me tow it 20 miles into town. and she drives a half ton ford!:{ I hope nobody saw me. So its at the dealership now and I'll see what they have to say.

Just though I'd give an update. The stealership charged me 50 bucks and all he did was jump the starter relay. Didn't even reflash the computer like I asked him too. But whatever. Anyways my truck runs fine now except the brake light is always on. Sent the chip in to have quad look at so hopefully I'll talk to them later today.
