My truck just died today with this issue, I put the throttle down at a red light it stopped barely idled on about 2 cylinders and would not pul itself in drive. It coded p1688 also, internal fuel inj controller failure. Please anyone how do I get this truck running again. I was only on power level 2, and I have an airdog that works fine.

First thing is unhook the Adrenaline completely and see if it will start if not its VP time. My original pump died and it had the p1688 but it also had 65,000 miles on it. This last time was a VP with maybe 2500 miles on it and the Adrenaline melted and took out my pump no doubt about it. It was an anomoly that Quad says he has figured out and he admitted he never seen one melt as bad as mine did. My pump is on its way to II and Quad is waiting for the diagnosis.

I just bought my adrenaline about 2 months ago, I have never had any issues with this truck before. And have had issues with the adrenaline since it was installed.

Sending my adrenaline and pulse back to quad for analysis, bought a pump from industrial diesel and are going to have them analize cause of failure also, informed guys at quad of situiation.
