Any one using the ADT fuel system upgrade. It seems like a pretty sweet set up with pusher, lines, high flow lift, etc. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with it.
I had ADT's dual pump fuel system installed about 6 months ago. All I can say is... it is awesome. Take a look at my signature and you will see that I am running big shower heads(injectors) and a major fueling box (Blue Chip Premium FMS) and other assorted goodies. Even at WOT I am above 12 psi of fuel pressure, reading taken from bottom of fuel filter housing as it exits to the VP44. I also had a 35psi fuel pressure gauge installed to compliment the fuel pump system. It is a mechanical unit (Autometer gauge) run in to the cab with braided lines and Aeroquip fittings. Nothing short of fantastic. I would do it again in a second. I am also very confident that if I add any other performance items that supply additional fuel, this system will have no problems delivering enough fuel. Just do it... you'll love it !!
Give Andy or Doug a call... Great guys with Great Service !!
No I don't have any pic's. There really isn't too much to see. Yes it does use the stock fuel filter/housing. You could also add an in-line filter, I have not done so, yet. I do not have a bypass installed for the pusher pump. From what I have been told the replacement lift pump can survive without the pusher. I like to keep things as simple as possible.
Andy and Doug can do whatever you want. If you want additional filters they can do it, if you want a bypass... they can do it. All you have to do is give them a call and talk it over with them...
Patriot, did you get that 35 psi mechanical Autometer from ADT as well ??? I have the Autometer Ultralite 2 5/8" mech. monitoring my pre filter psi's and am pushing the envelope since I stepped up the psi's from the Mallory pump ( reading about 16 psi's on a 15 psi gauge ). I would really like to swap it out for a gauge that read around 20 psi's max, 35 psi's would work. The only options I've seen for mech. Autometers are 15 or 100 psi's. Special order maybe ??? I could just swap the sender from the SPA gauge and the Autometer so that the SPA is reading pre and the Autometer is reading post, but you have my interest with that 35 psi gauge. Thanks in advance !!!
I have an Autometer Z 0/35 fuel pressure guage to. Here's the secret... ... ... mine says boost on it... ... ... ... yes Autometer approves the use for fuel pressure. Works just fine for me.
Glenn is correct. I am using an Autometer Ultralite "boost" gauge. It does a great job. Andy and Doug are also carrying the Isspro line of gauges. They may have something as well.
I have absolutely no problems starting my truck. I may be wrong here, but I do believe that the only time you would have a problem is trying to start the truck immediatley after the key is turned, in other words while the pumps are cycling. After they finish their cycle the pressure drops... somebody chime in here if I'm wrong, but... like I said no problems whatsoever.
