I'm shopping around like everyone for a VP44, since I just lost mine,
and ran across these guys in my travels.

Anybody heard anything about Advance Metal VP44 pumps ?
They advertise new PSG computer unit,
and have Bosch certified techs .
Still trying to figure out there parts policy ,
think I will probably call them tomorrow.
Thanks for any info!!!

I have not previously heard of them. I did notice where they claim new computer and all the upgraded internals. May be worth a phone call to verify this with a tech, for the price it doesn't sound like a bad deal at all. One thing to note is most companies are strictly vendors and not certified rebuilders. I notice they offer a lot of different pumps for Dodge, Chevy, and Ford. I would really be surprised if they were certified on all the pumps they sell. Just from the looks of their web page I would guess they are a vendor, but I could very well be wrong.

Even if they are a vendor thats not necessarily a bad thing. Whats important is a new computer and the upgraded housing with steel sleeve, new diaphram, rotor, and distributor. Even Chip Fisher went away from building their pumps in house but they work very closely with the shop that does them and make sure they are built to their standards.

check out their core return policy and requirements! Most all with the exception of Blue Chip, If theres certain things wrong or corroded inside that you dont know for sure, they charge you the core anyway (how are you supposed to know) easy $$$$ Dont know this but always suspicious just me!

Called Industrial Injection and Advanced Metals
today and there about the same except
for the sound of more experience from Ind Inj.

They both have new PSG boards and everything but the rotor,
unless it is damaged or out of tolerance.
Also both certified Bosch builders.

But they do differ on core charge Ind Inj wants core money up front,
Advanced just wants Credit card number.

Calling Blue chip diesel tomorrow and see what they can
talk me in to.

Well I talked to Blue Chip and they are just oozing so much knowledge. I have friend
like him and they have so much passion that they got to know there stuff. So I think there
inventory has to be the best they can manufacture. So this is the way I am going too.
Thanks for all information from everybody.

Most of the updates that are touted by manufacturers are standard in the newest 027 or 028 pump already. Quality pumps can be had for under $1000 with ease. Spend the extra $ on a good lift pump if you do not have one already.
