There is an ad on this site for a "quiet kit" that is made to insulate your engine and quiet it down. Is there any merit to this claim? Has anyone here used it? How well does it work?

Oh no biggie at all. Me , I am still on the fence as to what I wanna do about getting some. So I am gonna read on myself.

I have their oil pan blanket and will be ordering a custom modified exhaust manifold/turbine housing blanket from them shortly.



BTW, that oil pan blanket REALLY quieted things down! Contrary to their advertisement literature on their website, the oil pan blanket really does reduce the in-cab noise level!

What about just putting Dynamat on the firewall?



I don't know... $650 just to quiet a truck down seems kinda steep.

I have probably close to that (if not more) in Dynamat Xtreme, Extremeliner and Hood Liner in my Ram. Plus the ATP oil pan blanket.



I guess it all depends on how serious your are about sound abatement.
