Has anyone had any experience with the ATS ex. manifold? I have just discovered a large crack in my manifold and am not to sure Dodge will cover it under warranty. u have 110,000mi on the truck so it is very probable that they will deny warranty. Any hepl would be appreciated. Does anyone have one of these and what do you think?, Thanks, Dave in Gardnerville. :)

ATS

I'll second Bob, I've had mine in for over a year now, love it. Mine went in the when the HX40 and BD 3 injectors were installed. I haven't towed anything yet, but ran most of the winter with 1200 lbs. in the bed. That, combined with the HX40 and the SAS along with a free flowing pipe give me very low egt's, no matter how hard I hot rod it.

Bob, your link is busted (you forgot the ".com")

PDR

BTW I looked all over his website and can't find the "specials" page (says "coming soon. . . "). Maybe it's being updated

Unless Piers taps them himself they don't come pretapped. In the pictures it may look like it is tapped but that is actually to hold a heater line.

ATS used to tap their 3-piece exhaust manifolds (at the 1/2/3 location as well as the 4/5/6 location) until just before I purchased mine... two and a half years ago.

Awesome exhaust manifold! After you see both in person you won't be able to get rid of the POS stocker fast enough!

The only hole provided from ATS is the Metric female thread in the boss on the center section of the manifold.

Also, unless ATS started including a heater hose bracket kit, YOU will have to modify your OE bracket and/or fabricate same (I did both).

Thanks for all the replies:) I am giong to order the ATS manifold on Monday from Piers. I think I'll go for broke and order the Piers turbo as well that should round out the modifications I have to the truck nicely, In other words it should really cook!, Thanks Dave:)

ATS Manifold & Pixs

Just received my ATS Manifold from Piers. He shipped it to Performance Coatings first. I had it coated with their Cermachrome coating. Cost $140. 00 for the manifold and $35. 00 to do the manifold bolts. Now I need to have the tubro coated also. I don't know how this compares with Jet Hot but it looks nice to me.

Bob, Tell me more. Do you have pictures? Where is this place and what does it look like when its done?, Thanks Dave PS where is Racheal NV? I live im Gardnerville(15mi so. of Carson City)

Dave, I had my ATS 3-piece exhaust manifold ceramic coated by Performance Coatings, Inc. (Auburn, WA. ) before installing it on my Ram although, I used their matte black 2000 deg. F. coating. The CermaChrome ceramic coating is only rated for 1300 (or 1400) deg. F. Additionally, I had them coat the inside of all three exhaust manifold pieces (after I ported and polished each piece)... normally they only coat the inside of turbine housings not the insides of exhaust manifolds or headers.

BTW, mine was the second ATS exhaust manifold to be coated by Performance Coatings, Inc. ... Dave Perea's 12-valve ATS exhaust manifold was the first. BTW, Dave had CermaChrome applied to his.

Performance Coatings, Inc. can be found at: www.performancecoatings.com

thanks to John....

Based on his recommendation, I had my Piers ATS 2000 degree satin black, ceramic coated inside and out... . bolts as well.

Performance Coatings did an excellent job, and Troy and Brad are great people to work with. I picked mine up on my way to Piers', but he can get your manifold done by PC and drop shipped to you.

John thanks for the info. I am not really up to speed on the coatings deal maybe you could enlighten me as to the benefits and draw backs if any? This sounds very interesting and I am buying a turbo from Peirs as well so I would consider coat know before I get them shipped down to me. Thanks for the help! Dave
