Looking at the TST website, it looks like their number 8 torque plate is the most suitable for increasing power in my '97 4x4 2500 (319,000 miles). I will also be replacing the exhuast manifold at the same time. I have replaced the California restricted EGR intake with a stock 49-state intake. Haveing never "bombed" the truck before, I'm just looking for any other insight/advice others may have. Am I on the right track?

Thanks!

Paul

I was reading some of that stuff on page 32 issue 71 TDR look up dynomite Diesel may be they might have some answers good luck

If the trans is stock then the 8 plate is a very safe bet and would fit your needs perfectly.

I would steer clear of any other plates other than Chappel's(TST's) as he was the one who originally did all the research and development on them. There are many companies who use his plates reboxed in their specific companies attire and end up costing you more.

Install the plate per the instructions and then slide it around until you get the best tune to suit your needs. It does help alot if you have a set of gauges to ensure you do not over boost or have excessive EGT's... ... Andy
