Advice on CP3 Mod

I am about to mod the CP3 on my friends truck when i stumbled upon relentless diesel's speed up the pump mod, and floor it's mod. I tryed calling relentless but no call back yet. Do you think that doing the simple fca mod is enough or should i take it a step further?



Mods= Air dog 150, Big Line Kit, DD 90hp injectors, HTT Turbo, Hot Edge, Ats ex. manifold, CFM intake Youtube.com Search-Kenny's Ram(This is funny)

More mods are more better, but with those injectors and the Hot Juice you are going to need to step up to something like a Stage 2 Floor-it CP3 or a dual CP3 setup. I've done both the Relentless Diesel CP3 mods and I've got F1's smallest injectors and I can't run my Hot Juice on 6 without draining the rail (that's with or without the EZ and the with the smoke turned all the way down).
 
I am stopping at the CP3 mod. I have the air dog 150, 90hp inj. , big line kit, htt turbo, hot edhe and ez. That is all i am doing. It is a daily driver and i need it to be reliable. The CP3 issue seems to be a very sensetive one. I hear that the CP3 mod write up does not work very well and i am curious as to if this is true. Help!

I think a simple stage one is all you need then



The vendor you use is up to you... . I used floor it and its nice and powerful
 
One company out there tcdiesel.com has a modded fuel rail that is supposed to eliminate the need for a second CP3 or other mods. Check it out to see if it will help your cause. It was $150 if I remember correctly.
 
I have seen the fuel rail but have not heard anyone talk about using it. I am curious if anyone has used it and how well it recovered.
 
I have the T&C wild fuel rail and the 2 Relentless mods and small injectors and I still get rail pressure dips with the Edge turned all the way up. I have to leave it on 5. The mods do help, but if your goal is to run the Edge on Hot you will need one of the professionally modded pumps.

Do you have the EDge EZ to boost your rail pressure?
 
Yes, but I've tried it both with and without the EZ. Either way I can't run the Edge on Hot without seeing a rail pressure drop. Works really good with the Edge dropped a notch to the #5 setting though ;-)

When I used it all I could tell was the HP came on lower in RPM band...

At the time I had a blown relief valve, so I dont know about max HP gains



I know I hold 25k+ with my Floorit CP3, and that over 500hp easy

Tomey, i seen some old posts on the cp3 with you in them. Didn't you have the relentless mods at one time? Is your pump a stage 2?

Nope, I have always had the floor it pump, stage one.



BUT I do have FLUX 1. 5s as well, which if you may remeber a LONG time agao was the real helped. The CP3 mod on stock injectors gave me no higher max HP, just a really awesome midrange.



The sticks are with really bumped up my HP
 
I also run a Floor It stage 1 CP3 with a FASS 150 and Industrial Injection's 2 Flows injectors. I don't have a fuel pressure or rail pressure gauge which I wish I did to see what was going on, but I wish I would have gone with a stage 2 or dual CP3s. I would recommend either Floor It or Industrial Injection.
