Ive got a dodge ram 2500 12V and Im getting ready to install all the components I bought. The vormax I bought comes with large fittings for the fuel and cooling lines which look like theyre meant to take 1/2" hose. Ive got 3/8 and 5/16 because I was assuming standard feed and return. Is this too small? What about the hose size for the coolant feed? Theres a brass bolt on the front of the vormax that looks like it blocks the coolant port quite a bit inside. Is that normal?
Also Im a bit worried about using hose+barb couplings, that they might leak or pop off under pressure. Has anyone done this with good results?
Im making my own heater coils from copper pipe too. Im assuming its better to secure them to something in the tank and insulate them from touching the plastic tank walls directly?
